The Core exercise you are not doing, but you should be doing!

Every woman wants to work her core!

Unfortunately, what I see and hear way too much is that she thinks she needs to do more sit-ups or leg lifts.

That’s just not the case!

I’ve got something better for you: the Pallof press!

This exercise teaches your body something it’s forgotten…how to fire up the proper muscles at the proper time in the proper sequence.

Our body does a great job of …getting the job done no matter what. Unfortunately, simply getting the job done also causes some muscles to overwork. When muscles start doing the job of other muscles we get misaligned, overworked, stressed out areas that can eventually lead to pain, disfunction and injury.

This happens at our core. Those deep abdominal layers are suppose to activate first to stabilize our low back and hips (this is “anti” movement) and THEN our big muscles are suppose to work and make us move.

For nearly every woman I meet, her core is NOT firing in the proper sequence for the appropriate amount of tension.

This exercise I demo here – 1/2 Kneeling Pallof Press – helps reeducate your core so the deep abs relearn to turn on and off when they are suppose to and thereby protecting your back and hips and effectively being the transfer case of energy from the upper body to the lower body and vice versa.
