What you are probably missing in your breakfast, and 6 things this missing component does

Breakfast sets you up for the day ahead of you.

For those of you who skip breakfast…you are missing out! Food is good, why are you skipping a meal, an opportunity to EAT?  :))

But, no I’m really talking to those who eat cereal or oatmeal or pancakes.

You are probably missing PROTEIN in your breakfast.

Yes, every meal, you’ve got to get that protein in IF you want:

  1. Energy
  2. To not be hungry in 1 1/2 hours
  3. Maintain or grow muscle (yes, you do want muscle)
  4. Strong hair & nails
  5. Your body to make enzymes and hormones (yes, you want this, too)
  6. burn more calories while digesting your meal.

Aim for 20-25 grams of protein per main meal (this is a general rule of thumb).

Your protein source could be protein powder, eggs/egg whites, chicken, turkey, or fish.

Don’t over-complicate this. Just eat protein with your breakfast every day, and you’ll feel better later on!
