Protein is having a moment—and for good reason. It plays a critical role in how…
A simple nutrition rule that works in any season
Nutrition can feel complicated and overwhelming—especially this time of year when you’ve got so much coming at you!
If you strip away “all of the steps from all of the gurus”, the foundation is simple: base every meal around lean protein. This is what I teach my clients every week…lead with a high quality protein at every meal, and enough of it.
Protein keeps you fuller longer, stabilizes your energy, supports muscle repair, and helps curb cravings later in the day.
It also makes healthy eating feel easier because it gives your meals structure. Without enough protein, you’ll notice more snacking, more hunger swings, and more mindless eating—especially at night.
When clients start prioritizing protein, their nutrition becomes more predictable almost immediately. They stay full longer. Their decision-making improves. They don’t feel like they’re “fighting” their appetite all day.
So before you worry about the perfect diet, new plans, or complicated rules… start here: build your meals around protein, then add fruits, vegetables, and at the meal around your workout, a starch in place of fruit. This one simple habit supports your goals in every season.
