Hi {{ subscriber.first_name }}, You know about the importance of getting enough protein, especially as…
A big reason women gain weight in peri-menopause
Women on average gain 5-8# (losing muscle and gaining fat) during the peri-menopause transition time.
One big reason has been found to be decreased activity.
Yes, we know it’s hormonal changes, not sleeping well, and losing muscle, but it turns out that a decrease activity plays a bigger part of that weight gain than many would care to admit;)
If you do nothing else, start walking.
Up your walking by 2,000 steps daily and if you can’t do that, be active for 10-15 minutes extra until you are stronger.
How you begin your activity does not dictate how you will end. You can feel accomplished by knowing that those extra 10 minutes or so are beneficial and, with a plan to increase your activity, you won’t feel stagnant.
