Who’s in your top 5?

You’ve probably heard this before:

“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” — Jim Rohn

At first glance, it’s a catchy quote, but when you pause and really let it sink in—it becomes a powerful mirror.

Look around. Who are you spending the most time with? Whose voices are shaping your thoughts, energy, health habits, outlook, and self-worth?

It’s not just about who they are. It’s about what they represent.

  • Do they encourage growth or pull you back into comfort zones?
  • Are they actively working on their health or constantly making excuses?
  • Do they speak with possibility or complain about how things “used to be”?
  • Are they trying new things, dreaming, challenging themselves—or simply coasting?

You might realize you’ve outgrown certain relationships.

That doesn’t mean you stop loving someone. It simply means you recognize the influence they’re having—and choose more intentionally going forward.

Because we do absorb the energy around us.

If you want to:

  • Get stronger,
  • Eat better,
  • Walk more often,
  • Feel confident,
  • Think bigger…

…then you’ll want to align with people who are doing the same.

You’ll want to be around those who normalize growth. These are the kinds of people who think it’s perfectly reasonable to be in your 50s or 60s and start lifting weights, launch a new career, or travel solo for the first time. You can find women like this at Her Fitness, in case you were wondering;)

That kind of energy is contagious—and it lifts you up without force.

Take a moment today and ask yourself:

Who are my five? Who do I want to become? And who aligns with that version of me?

You deserve to be surrounded by people who challenge you, support you, and remind you how capable you really are.
