Typically, I like to hit the new year pavement hard, but this year I’m off to a bit of a slow start.
With taking more time off around Christmas and New Year’s day, I think I lost a little momentum and admittedly, my stomach feels a bit knotted.
BUT I’m working on not letting this slow start ruin my week/month/year. I’m taking action now to move forward towards my goal and put the past in the past.
One step I took was to make an appointment with my nutritionist. I believe in coaching and learning from others, and I am putting this appointment back on my regular calendar.
Another action step: I went skiing. One of my goals for 2019 is to have more fun and get back to skiing. I tend not to plan my fun and just let things happen …we all know how that works! It doesn’t!!
So, how about you?

Congratulations if it’s a strong start, but if not, it’s okay. There’s nothing like today to begin your health and fitness journey.
Don’t spend one single moment thinking about what you haven’t done and what you should have done before.
Today is a NEW DAY!
Take just a few moments and think about ONE ACTION STEP you can do right now…
- make a call to a friend who inspires you
- drink a glass of water
- do a few stretches
- take your vitamins (what, you don’t take them??)
- go for a walk
- make an appointment with your personal trainer (hint, hint)
- start a food journal
- do some squats/push-ups/lunges/planks
- listen to a self-improvement podcast (I’m a big fan of Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, and Zig Ziglar when I need inspiration)
No turning back. Focus on your future. Focus on what you want. Go for it!
