10 Tips To Lose Weight

Perhaps you think you’re going to learn something you didn’t already know, a new metabolism booster, a new exercise, a foreign food you’ve never heard of, a special gadget to prevent you from eating, a new pill or shake. Nope. I’m not going to tell you anything you don’t already know. But…..

What I will tell you is that you just have to follow 10 Tips To Lose Weight and they are basic rules. There’s no magic. Just persistence. This is where the break down occurs and you tell me “I can’t lose any weight!”

Here’s the definition of persistence: firm or obstinate continuance in a course of action in spite of difficulty or opposition.

Is abstaining from a few glasses of wine difficult on a Friday night after a long, stressful week? Perhaps.
Is getting up at 5:00 a.m. to get your workout in difficult? Maybe.
When everyone else is stuffing their face with bread and butter and you choose a salad instead, is that obstinate? Yes!

Failing to be persistent and keeping an eye on the prize are the biggest road blocks I see people encounter. They give up too soon!

1.     Eat breakfast every day
2.     Eat vegetables (and some fruit) with every meal and for snacks
3.     Eat enough protein for your body
4.     Don’t eat added sugar
5.     Don’t eat too much food
6.     Eat only healthy fats
7.     Exercise at least three times per week and lift weights
8.     Get enough sleep (around 8 hours for most)
9.     Drink enough water for your body size
10.  “De-stress” every day

So, stay focused and persistent. Don’t give up. Keep your eye on the prize.
