As August comes to a close, there’s a shift in the air. The long summer…
Taking a break
You know I’m always preaching about consistency in your exercise program, but that doesn’t mean taking a break is bad.
So what’s the difference?
The difference is when you aren’t taking a planned break, but instead you miss workouts because you don’t feel like doing them or you stayed up too late the night before and couldn’t get up in the morning or even when you travel a lot and simply skip because “I was away”.
If you are committed to your health and fitness, your frequent travel schedule and such doesn’t stop you from doing your workout.
I recently went on vacation and didn’t do any resistance training, but I walked and hiked every day. I didn’t feel guilty or badly about missing this type of activity because I’ve been consistently lifting two – three times per week since January. I took some time off during Christmas.
Exercise has to become part of your daily habits like brushing your teeth, taking a shower or changing your underwear.
If it’s not a part of your routine, I can help with that. There’s something about leaving your house and going to a gym or an appointment that makes your workouts happen!
That’s one of the biggest reasons women join Her Fitness…they need a place to go where they feel safe/comfortable, supported, someone can tell them exactly what to do for the shape they are in and they don’t have to do a myriad of chores while they are working out;)
Luckily, my Summer Special has been extended! Since I was away last week and had spotty service, at best, I couldn’t reach out to people like I planned, so, if you are still interested in getting into great shape by Labor Day, reply back for June/July/August Special! No long term commitments, award-winning personal training and a new lease on life by September!
