Looking for “toned” arms?…..stronger shoulders come first

It’s no secret that women feel more confident wearing sleeveless and tank tops when their arms look good, but did you know that strong shoulders  (and mobile thoracic spine) should come first?

The small muscles of the shoulder stabilize the joint for healthy, well moving arms and neck and this will enable you to lift weights and do other exercises that will help give you that toned, or rather, defined muscle look you are craving. It’s here that I should tell you that your diet makes a big difference in the appearance of your arms, too.  When you have a higher level of body fat, you won’t see those strong, defined muscles;)

But still, let’s take a look at some exercises that will help your arms look better and be better (aka stronger)!

External Shoulder Rotation (haha, I need to update this video!)

Y Raises

T Raises

Shoulder Press

Push-Up with mini-band

Bent Elbow Lateral Shoulder Raise

I’ve got so many more to share!
