[Recipe] Burger Bowl

This recipe comes from my colleague, Janell Yule.


Janell and her husband, Justin, have a gym out in Minnesota, and Janell is a nutritionist.




  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. black pepper
  • ¾ tsp. onion powder
  • ¾ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 cup Primal Kitchen avocado mayo
  • ¼ TBSP Primal Kitchen ketchup
  • 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ tsp. paprika
  • About 8 cups romaine lettuce
  • ½ cup diced pickles
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • 1 cup diced or sliced tomato



Add the ground beef to a large skillet over medium heat. Add ½ tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. black pepper, ¼ tsp. onion powder, and ¼ tsp. garlic powder, and mix into the beef.


Cook the beef until everything is cooked through and slightly browned, about 8 minutes total time.


While the beef cooks, mix together the sauce. Combine mayo, ketchup, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, paprika, and the remaining salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
