3 things you can do today that will have a great impact on your health

You might get stopped in your tracks before you even get started simply because you feel overwhelmed by sheer number of steps you can take to “get healthy.”

I thought I’d share three things that you can do, and even start, today. While I give you three, I advise you to work on only one habit at a time. Get that habit down pat and then move to a more challenging one.

Depending on which habit you choose to work on, you may notice a difference in a day or two!

1. Stop consuming highly processed oils. These oils are highly inflammatory and overload your body with omega-6 fatty acids. We need omega-6, but not in the proportion we tend to get them.

Read your labels, make your own salad dressing and change up what you cook with.

Get rid of canola oil, vegetable oil, soybean oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil and palm oil to name a few.

Olive, avocado, and coconut oil are better choices. Grass fed milk butter and ghee are also good options.

2. Go to bed before 10 p.m. Our hormones dictate everything and getting enough (quality) sleep during the right hours has a huge influence on some of the big gun hormones like testosterone, growth hormone, and cortisol.

3. Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of H20. Chronic dehydration not only leads to health issues later on, for instance, GERD, but acute problems like headaches, body aches, lethargy, fatigue, poor sleep, confusion and constipation.

Just decide which habit to work on and go for it!

You will feel great!
