Strength at any age

You can get stronger at any age, even if you’ve never lifted weights in your entire life!

You just have to know the right exercises and how to do them properly…and when you do, you will become more confident in your body’s ability to be anything.

Strength is your health and independence.

To get stronger you must work your muscles by doing resistance training exercises that not only increase your muscle, but improve the quality of your muscle.

Muscle quality makes is the difference in your overall health, too.

As you age and if you don’t do resistance training, your muscles begin to accumulate fat and become like a marbled steak. This decreases your insulin sensitivity, increases inflammation and decreases testosterones ability to do one of it job which is muscle building and repair.

If you’re not sure what to do, here is a super-simple list:

Start with exercises that hit these movements:

  1. Lower body like Squat
  2. Upper body pushing exercise, like a push-up (there are many variations that I prescribe my clients so don’t automatically assume a full military style push-up)
  3. Lower body like Hinge (bridging)
  4. Upper body puling exercise (rowing)
  5. Rotational exercises (not twisting at the waist, but pivoting through your hips)

If you hit these movement patterns, you’ll be giving yourself a great foundation and feel 100x better!
