You already know exercise matters. That’s not the issue. The real challenge is getting started—and…
Easy way to stay active when you are busy
When life gets hectic, the first thing most people drop is exercise.
Not because they don’t care, but because they believe that if they can’t do a full workout, it’s not worth doing anything at all.
Here’s a secret: short workouts count—and they often count more than you think!
A focused 15-20-minute session using fundamental movement patterns—bend, hinges, pushes, pulls, and carries—can stimulate your muscles, elevate your heart rate, and maintain your strength far better than waiting for the “perfect” window of time.
For example:
- Goblet Squat
- Shoulder Press
- Deadlift
- Bent Over Row
- Front Carry
Do 10 reps (or number of feet for #5) each and do as many rounds as possible (AMRAP) in the time you have.
These shorter sessions also build consistency and maintain the habit of working out.
Consistency is the real driver of progress.
When you teach yourself that a quick workout still matters, you eliminate the opposite habit of stopping completely whenever life gets busy.
Sometimes the best workout is the one you have time for today—not the one you think you should do.
Live up to your standers and you will build confidence!
