Most adults in the United States are overweight.
It is estimated by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention that a whopping 70% of adults over the age of 20 are overweight, including obese. Obesity is greater than 30%.
Why should you care?
Simple. To bring awareness to your own actions.
Many of us do things or act a certain way because we think it’s normal – “everyone is doing it” kind of mentality.
While it’s common to be overweight, it’s not “normal”.
You can’t rely on what “everyone else is doing it” to dictate what’s right for you.
You have to be different!
You will have to stand out!
When most everyone else is eating cake, you’ll pass.
When everyone else is drinking alcohol, you’ll say “no thanks.”
You’ll have to do the opposite of what 7 out of 10 people are doing when it comes to eating.
When others make excuses NOT to exercise, you won’t.
You’ll have to be the one who eats vegetables at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Yes, you will have to be different than most adults you see or know IF you want a healthy, fit and strong body.
I’m not saying this is easy. So if you are reading this and you are one of the 70%…I know it’s NOT easy, but you can change!
Start paying attention to what you are eating, begin moving your body more than you do now and get some professional accountability.
Everyone will have her own path and journey and it all starts with your mindset and your thoughts.
