If you are 20# overweight.

Do you know those “lady sites” on Facebook? Sure you do. I couldn’t help but add my two cents to a thread from a women asking, “what’s the best diet plan?”

I gave her very, very general advice that an apparently healthy person could use.

In the end, the woman decided to use a program that helped her in the past.

After noticing that the thread was 150+ comments long and that her final decision was to get some outside help, I couldn’t help but ponder …”How doesn’t she already know what most people had recommended her to do – eat whole foods, cut out sugar…that sort of thing?”,  but she was looking for more than that.

It turns out, what she really wanted was support and accountability.

I know she will learn about nutrition and some helpful tips, but I bet she already knows the basics.

I bet YOU already know the basics. Sure, there is fine-tuning regarding what to eat and when, but if you are 20# or more overweight, start with the basics and stick to it, forever.

  • Eat more protein.
  • Eat less sugar, way less sugar (and NO fake sugar).
  • Drink more water.
  • Eat vegetables at every meal.
  • Eat some fruit.

If you have a hard time sticking to the basics, then maybe you need support and accountability, too. If what you are doing isn’t working then maybe you would benefit from some outside help, too.

I know I benefit from hiring and consulting other people and experts. Personally, I use coaching in many areas of my life – nutrition, fitness, spiritual, and business. Why go it alone when there are people out there who know more than you, have seen more than you, study more than you, can support you when you need it most and WANT to HELP you?
